An uchi-komi rope is a training tool used mainly in judo to improve the technique, precision and speed of throwing movements (or "uchi-komi") without a partner. It often consists of an elastic rope attached to a fixed point.
Using this rope, the judoka simulates throwing entries by pulling the rope as if pulling an opponent. Rope training allows you to work on pulling, balancing and rotation movements, thus strengthening the muscles specific to throwing movements while perfecting the gestures. It is an excellent means of complementary training for judokas.
